Summer Internship with the Investment Management & Research Team

Driehaus Capital Management LLC is seeking a highly motivated and capable individual to join their Investment Management & Research Team as a Summer Intern. This paid internship is designed to provide hands-on experience that complements academic learning and career aspirations. Interns gain a deep understanding of investing fundamentals by working on various projects alongside Assistant Portfolio Managers and Portfolio Managers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze financial data: Dive into financial data, identifying key trends and insights.
• Assist senior investment professionals: Contribute to the evaluation of investment opportunities by providing valuable research and analysis.
• Monitor portfolio performance: Track the performance of existing investments, ensuring alignment with investment strategies.
• Participate in investment discussions: Engage in discussions about investment strategies and opportunities, contributing your knowledge and perspectives.
• Assist with various projects: Contribute to monitoring news on current holdings, gathering data on companies, and other tasks as directed by the Portfolio Manager or Senior Analyst.

Internship Basics:

• Days & Hours: Monday – Thursday, 9 am – 5 pm (Flexible based on team needs and individual preferences)
• Location: River North neighborhood, Chicago, IL

Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree with an expected graduation date of May 2025 or later.
• Demonstrated interest in the stock market and financial markets.
• Preferred major: Business, Finance, or Economics.
• Strong desire to learn about asset management and the financial services industry.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Excellent interpersonal, analytical, oral, and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively.
• Proactive, innovative, and resourceful team player.
