New York Life Investments Summer Internship Program
This 10-week paid internship program is designed for rising juniors and seniors looking to gain valuable experience and launch their careers in the investment industry. The program takes place starting in June 2025 and offers positions at New York Life Investments Management and its boutique firms, Apogem Capital, and MacKay Shields.

• New York Life Investments Management: Positions are offered in New York City and Jersey City on teams including Marketing, Product, Strategy, and Data & Technology.
• Apogem Capital: A leading alternatives investor with offices in New York, Chicago, and Richmond. Internships are available in Finance & Accounting, Tax, and Business Intelligence.
• MacKay Shields: A firm that has partnered with clients since 1938 to help meet their investment goals through high quality products and exceptional service. They offer internships on the Municipal Bond, High Yield, Fixed Income, and Marketing teams.
Job Description
Depending on your placement in the program, your internship could involve the following responsibilities:
• Creating and participating in individual and/or group presentations
• Partnering with key internal stakeholders to drive efforts across marketing, sales, business intelligence, compliance, finance, legal, etc.
• Collaborating with investment partners on the creation of new product marketing materials in various formats (blogs, webcasts, videos, brochures, presentations, flyers, and digital representations)
• Synthesizing research/analyses and developing concise and effective presentations to inform new product recommendations (PowerPoint or Word)
• Helping to prioritize and drive execution and project management on new product launches or product modifications
• Assisting with the planning and overall coordination of conferences/seminars/meetings
• Participating in operational work such as updating and maintaining databases, managing daily queues, inputting client requests, etc.
• Conducting credit research, security analysis, industry/market research
• Attending training and development seminars
• Gaining exposure to senior leadership, subject matter experts, networking opportunities, and social events
Required Skills
• Currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree at an accredited 4-year university or college with an anticipated graduation date between December 2025 and June 2027
• Business, Finance, or related major preferred
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail
At the end of the summer, interns will be considered for an offer to join the full-time New York Life Investments Analyst Program upon graduation. This program is a 2-year program rotating between various business areas.
