About Earth Finance Summer Internships

Earth Finance, in partnership with Parallel, is seeking motivated and talented Summer Interns to join their growing business. This summer, Earth Finance plans to hire three interns who will play a crucial role in supporting their mission to drive sustainable and financially sound futures.

These exciting opportunities are available in two dynamic locations: Seattle, WA or New York, NY.

Who We’re Looking For

We are specifically looking for highly capable Masters Candidates who possess a strong foundation of 3+ years of professional work experience in areas critical to our mission. Ideal candidates will have experience in:

• Corporate sustainability strategy
• Financing strategy
• Water and nature strategy
• Impact reporting
• Spatial finance
• Geospatial technology

While prior experience within these specific sectors is a significant advantage, we strongly encourage applications from candidates who demonstrate comparable skills and experience that align with our requirements.

What You’ll Gain

• Acquire a deep understanding of how to effectively drive large-scale change. You will learn to leverage sustainable corporate, financing, and policy tools to mitigate corporate risk and maximize sustainable business growth for our clients.

What You’ll Do

Your responsibilities will involve a mix of analytical, strategic, and client-facing tasks, including:

• Building sustainability and financing models to analyze the business impact of new technology adoption and innovative business models.
• Furthering methodologies for measuring and quantifying the co-benefits of climate initiatives and related investments.
• Supporting the development of critical impact reporting initiatives.
• Conducting custom research to build compelling and insightful client-facing deliverables.
• Collaborating with Sustainability teams at client organizations to align financial, expense, and corporate reporting with ambitious climate transition goals and objectives.

Skills You’ll Need to Be Successful

To thrive in this role, we are looking for individuals who demonstrate:

• A profound passion for sustainable business solutions, coupled with academic and/or professional experience in sustainability, corporate strategy, financial analysis and modeling, climate policy, and/or geospatial technology.
• Proven experience designing, building, and launching new business models, particularly those focused on circular and regenerative principles.
• Comfort and curiosity in asking “why” when navigating the inherent ambiguity of climate data and business uncertainty.
• A keen interest in learning how to apply first principles analysis and boundary conditions to complex problem-solving.
• Strong research skills and the ability to quickly distill information from industry reports, policy news, and scholarly research into relevant and actionable context.
• Competency and comfort with the Microsoft Office Suite and Google products.
• Comfort operating effectively in agentic environments.
• Clear and direct communication skills, with the ability to distill complex ideas from various disciplines into actionable client takeaways, presented in diverse written and visual formats.

Compensation and Benefits

Earth Finance offers a competitive and rewarding internship experience:

• This is a 10-week summer internship.
• Interns will be compensated at a rate of $50 – $60 per hour. Please note, this role is not eligible for overtime.
• Interns whose internship spans these dates will receive June 19th and July 4th as paid company holidays.
