We are looking for Summer Interns to participate in a world-class internship program designed to provide exposure to the inner workings of an investment advisory firm.

Summer Internship Overview:
This program offers department-specific work alongside a variety of enriching activities, including:
Weekly speakers covering topics like resume building, interview skills, goal setting, career planning, and general professionalism.
Panels featuring current employees, former interns, and leaders from the Inclusion and Diversity Committee and Employee Resource Groups.
Social events designed for networking across various departments.
• A one-on-one mentorship program with an assigned CAPTRUST colleague.
Shadowing opportunities to explore areas outside of the intern’s primary department.

Location:
The internship is an onsite position located at 4208 Six Forks Rd Ste 1700, Raleigh, NC 27609.

Departments Available for Internships:
Interns will be placed in one of the following groups, with specific departmental roles:
Corporate Services: Compliance, Data Analytics and Reporting, Finance, Human Resources/Recruiting, IT Application Development, IT Infrastructure, IT Security and Network, Legal, Project Management.
Institutional Group: Asset/Liability, Defined Contribution, Executive Benefits, Institutional Client Service, Institutional Operations, Vendor Analysis.
Investment Group: Investment Research, Portfolio Trading and Implementation.
Marketing: Business Development, Communications, Marketing.
Wealth Management Group: Participant Advisory Services, Wealth Client Service, Wealth Operations, Wealth Planning.

Responsibilities:
Interns will contribute to various tasks, which may include:
• Assisting in the research of funds and investment options.
• Helping with printing and binding client reviews.
• Compiling information and internal reports for both wealth and institutional clients.
• Assisting on various CAPTRUST projects.
• Potential placement in departments such as Client Services, Finance, Human Resources, Information Technology, Investment Research, Marketing, or Participant Advice, based on firm needs.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:
• Actively pursuing a four-year college degree.
• Preferably a rising junior or senior.
• Preferred majors include Business Administration, Statistics, Economics, Finance, Human Resources, or Information Technology.

Highly Desired Qualifications/Skills:
Prior experience is preferred, with previous experience in the investment industry being a significant plus.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft Excel.
Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
• A high standard of professionalism (encompassing dress, manners, and conduct).
• Ability to be proactive and meet deadlines.
