Job Description: Summer Internship Opportunity
This is a seasonal, hands-on Intern position designed to provide broad exposure to the financial industry, Savant’s people, and how they deliver on their mission. It aims to build the next generation of professionals who share a passion for helping others achieve financial peace of mind.
Key Aspects of the Internship:
• Meaningful Work: The internship is not about busy work but focuses on giving interns real responsibilities, real mentors, and real opportunities to learn. Interns will be paired with experienced professionals who embody the “Collective Wisdom” approach.
• Areas of Exposure: Internships are available in various key areas across the firm, including:
• Wealth advisory
• Financial planning
• Retirement plan services
• Tax preparation
• Marketing
• Investment research
• Trading & operations
• Compliance
• Potential Responsibilities (will vary by assigned team):
• Support advisors in preparing client presentations and planning analyses.
• Assist with investment research and market monitoring.
• Help create marketing content and communications.
• Participate in team meetings and client strategy sessions.
• Gain exposure to the compliance framework and operational processes.
• Contribute ideas to projects that support the firm’s vision.
• Ideal Candidate: This internship is particularly suited for students pursuing a CFP designation who wish to experience how their academic studies translate into a collaborative, client-focused professional environment.
Internship Details:
• Location: This role is based at Savant’s Wyomissing, PA Office.
• In-person Requirement: In-person participation is mandatory, and reliable transportation is needed.
• Duration: Seasonal, running from June to August. Orientation is scheduled for the first Wednesday in June.
• Hours: Full-time, with a typical schedule of Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
• Compensation: This is a paid internship opportunity, with an hourly rate ranging from $18.00 – $22.00 per hour, depending on experience and department placement.
Qualifications:
To thrive in this internship program, applicants should:
• Hold a high school diploma and be currently enrolled in a college program, preferably pursuing a bachelor’s degree in finance, financial planning, business, or economics.
• Students entering their junior year in a CFP accredited program are prioritized.
• Location Discrepancy Note: While the role is stated as being based in Wyomissing, PA, the qualifications state: “All applicants must be within driving distance to our New York, NY office as this position requires in-person support.” Candidates should clarify this with the employer if considering applying.
• Be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. Savant is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.
• Demonstrate a strong work ethic and a commitment to doing what’s right.
• Possess a collaborative, team-first attitude.
• Communicate clearly and professionally, both in writing and verbally.
• Be organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple priorities.
• Have experience with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Familiarity with eMoney, MoneyGuidePro, or Bloomberg is a plus.
