About the Job: Summer Intern (Summer Researcher)

NERA is currently seeking Summer Interns for many of its offices, including New York City, San Francisco, Chicago, Washington DC, White Plains (NY), and Boston.

Program Duration: The internship program runs from early June to mid-August.
Work Commitment: Summer interns are required to work a minimum of 40 hours per week.
Compensation: The applicable hourly rate for this role is $37.50.
Travel: There is little to no travel involved with the position.

Responsibilities: As a Summer Intern, your job responsibilities may include a variety of tasks crucial to NERA’s economic consulting work:
Designing and building quantitative models.
• Applying econometric analysis to economic and financial data.
• Conducting valuation analyses.
• Reviewing, summarizing, and analyzing industry trends.
• Creating trial exhibits and presentation materials.
Writing code for complex data analysis.
• Participating in client meetings.
• Drafting memos and expert reports.

Qualifications: NERA welcomes candidates who are pursuing a BA or BS in any major, or a Master’s Degree, and are graduating by Summer 2027 to apply. Qualified candidates should demonstrate:
Exceptional analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Being highly detail-oriented.
Exceptional communication skills.
• Ability to work well on teams.
Strong coursework and/or experience in finance, economics, accounting, statistical analysis/econometrics, and computer programming are all highly desirable.
