Job Description: Summer Intern (Purchasing and Supply Chain)
This summer intern role at Manpower Group Inc., located in Plymouth, MI, offers excellent exposure to a successful and dedicated team of Purchasing and Supply Chain professionals. The internship aims to develop technical and business partnering skills, while enhancing time management, organization, and teamwork abilities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Preparation of quote packages and schedules: Ensuring they are organized and easy to review.
• Supply Chain Analyses: Assisting in the preparation and execution of these analyses.
• Software Proficiency: Becoming familiar with and efficiently using various software tools employed in the Purchasing & Supply Chain (P&SC) department.
• Data Analysis: Pulling and analyzing data to identify key insights.
• Issue Identification: Identifying issues that require review by senior team members.
• Project Refinement: Making necessary changes to projects based on reviews and learning from rework.
• Supply Base Research: Performing basic research on the supply base.
Qualifications:
• Education: Currently enrolled in an accredited institution pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with a Business or Supply Chain emphasis.
• Technical Skills: Strong Microsoft Excel knowledge is essential.
• Business Acumen: Understanding of basic business concepts.
• Interpersonal Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Teamwork: Maintain a positive attitude, be enthusiastic, and a team player.
• Time Management: Ability to support multiple work assignments with strong time management skills.
• GPA: Must have a 3.0 or better GPA.
Additional Information:
• Work Schedule: 40 hours per week (full-time).
• Target Start Date: May 5, 2025.
• Location: Central Tech Unit, Plymouth MI.
