Job Description:
FMC Corporation is seeking motivated and detail-oriented summer interns to join their research station teams in Rochelle, IL, & Madera, CA. The internship program provides hands-on experience, development opportunities, and networking opportunities with other students. Interns will gain an understanding of crop protection compounds and their relevance to synthesis, field testing, and registration requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assisting field station managers in running the station evaluation program for pre-commercial crop protection compounds.
• Setting up small plot field trials.
• Equipment calibration.
• Measuring and mixing pesticides.
• Spraying plots.
• Data collection.
• Plot maintenance.
• Monitoring insect traps.
• Field scouting.
• Assisting with general farm operations (planting, cultivating, irrigating, discing, mowing).
• Summarizing field trial results using Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and FMC Corporate computer systems.
