Job Description
FMC Corporation is seeking motivated and detail-oriented summer interns to join their research station teams in Rochelle, IL, & Madera, CA. This internship program provides students with hands-on experience, development opportunities, and the chance to connect with other students from various universities.
As an intern, you will gain an understanding of crop protection compounds as they relate to early synthesis, field testing, and registration requirements. You will work within a team to achieve common goals and objectives while adhering to corporate safety guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist field station managers in running the station evaluation program, testing pre-commercial crop protection compounds.
• Help set up small plot field trials.
• Calibrate equipment.
• Measure and mix pesticides.
• Spray plots.
• Collect data.
• Maintain plots.
• Monitor insect traps.
• Perform field scouting.
• Assist with general farm operations (planting, cultivating, irrigating, discing, or mowing).
• Summarize field trial results using Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and FMC corporate computer systems.
Duration:
The internship typically lasts throughout the summer.
