About Zeta

Currently, they operate multiple elementary and middle schools in the Bronx and Upper Manhattan, and are opening three new elementary schools in Queens for the 2025-26 school year. They plan to grow and open 1-2 schools each year because children in every community deserve excellent, equitable education.
Zeta Summer Internship Program Job Description
Are you interested in learning what it takes to launch a new school year, and work alongside a passionate, mission-oriented team? As a part of the Zeta Summer Internship Program, you will gain invaluable insight into schooling by supporting their schools and staff in preparation for the launch of the 2025-26 school year. Zeta Summer Interns will have a strong work ethic, be extremely dependable, and be able to manage multiple tasks at once in a strategic, organized way. You will work with and learn from a team of mission-driven, high-achieving, passionate colleagues to help Zeta succeed in its mission to build and sustain high-performing schools that forge thriving communities of lifelong learners, problem solvers, and innovators.
This internship offers the unique opportunity to learn about various aspects of preparing for a new school year, with a focus on one key functional area. You will get the chance to work with and shadow colleagues who have experience in various careers including teaching, school administration and leadership, operations, consulting, finance, etc.
Responsibilities:
As a Summer Intern, you will work side-by-side with Zeta’s School-Based Operations team to organize and prepare Zeta for the 2025-26 school year. You will play a hands-on role in transforming school buildings into inspiring learning environments by:
• Supporting project management for summer building renovations, ensuring every detail is thoughtfully planned and executed.
• Helping set up and organize classrooms to create welcoming, functional spaces for students and teachers.
• Restocking and organizing storage areas to maximize efficiency and accessibility for the year ahead.
• Contributing to the beautification of campuses, bringing energy and care to every corner as they prepare to welcome staff and students back to school.

• Demonstrated passion for the mission, vision, and core values of Zeta Charter Schools
• Strong work ethic and a willingness to do whatever it takes to get the job done
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Strong problem-solving mentality and attention to detail
• Desire to work tirelessly and collaboratively in order to ensure our schools are 100% ready for staff and students heading into the 2025-26 school year
Logistics and Compensation:
• Full-time, in-person internship. Report to one of Zeta Schools, either in the Bronx or in Queens.
• Duration: 6 weeks long, from July 7, 2025 through August 15, 2025.
• Schedule: 8 hours a day, from 8:00 am – 4:00 pm.
• Targeted candidates: College students, with a preference for current Sophomores or Juniors.
• Compensation: $16.50 an hour.
