Summer Internship Opportunity
Savant’s Summer Internship program is a temporary position designed to provide students with a general overview of the firm’s departments and supervised practical training. The internship offers opportunities in various areas, including:

Specific responsibilities may include (subject to availability and scheduling constraints):
• Reviewing marketing brochures
• Tracking completed Financial Planning tasks
• Identifying clients needing planning meetings
• Assisting with strategic planning
• Following up on Ideal Futures assessments
• Assisting with event preparation and setup
• Introduction to portfolio reviews and rebalancing processes
• Revenue Client Report Audit
• Financial Planning Health Care Inflation and Tax Sunset Audit
• Tax planning software introduction
• Portfolio Reviews
• Capital gains/Div Reinvest Audit
• Cost basis/Step up projects
• Social Security analysis
• College calculators
• Portfolio Trading Notes Audit
• Contribution Tracking Spreadsheet
• Assisting with miscellaneous projects
• Performing other duties as requested
This internship is particularly well-suited for individuals working towards a Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation.
Important Notes about the Internship:
• Location: The position is based at Savant’s Birmingham, AL office.
• In-person work: This role requires in-person work, so reliable transportation is necessary.
• Seasonality: The internship runs from June to August.
• Hours: Full-time hours are expected, Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
Qualifications:
• High school diploma
• Currently enrolled in a college program, preferably pursuing a bachelor’s degree in finance, financial planning, accounting, business, or economics.
• Junior-year students enrolled in a CFP track program are prioritized.
• Must be within driving distance of the Birmingham, AL office.
• Authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. (no sponsorship available)
• Strong work ethic

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
• Professional demeanor
• Comfortable working with internal and external clients
• Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Experience with MoneyGuidePro financial planning software is a bonus.
• Organized, detail-oriented, and able to multi-task.
