Location: Hybrid at our Cincinnati, OH or Hanover Park, IL manufacturing sites, with this internship primarily focused at our Hanover Park, IL facility.
About the Internship:
Are you passionate about human resources, technology, and fostering an inclusive workplace culture? ProAmpac, a leading global flexible packaging company, is seeking a dynamic and motivated individual for a Summer HR Internship. This opportunity offers valuable hands-on experience in HR operations, allowing you to contribute directly to the execution of critical HR processes, policies, and programs. You will work closely with and receive direct guidance from the Human Resources Manager, playing a key role in enhancing our employee experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the full lifecycle of Talent Acquisition, Onboarding, and Orientation Processes, ensuring adherence to all Federal, Local, and Company requirements for a smooth new hire experience.
- Conduct thorough analysis of current new hire onboarding procedures to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
- Develop and implement best practices and procedures designed to enhance the workflow and seamless integration of new hires into the ProAmpac team.
- Organize, maintain, and accurately update employee files, including both physical records and entries within HRIS systems, ensuring data integrity and compliance.
- Provide essential administrative support to various HR functions, which may include auditing, employee relations inquiries, and performance management initiatives.
- Actively participate in team meetings, training sessions, and contribute to special projects as assigned by the HR leadership, gaining exposure to diverse HR initiatives.

Qualifications & Requirements:
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program, majoring in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Organizational Psychology, or a closely related field.
- Possess strong analytical skills with the proven ability to assess existing processes and propose efficient, effective solutions.
- Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of interacting effectively with employees at all levels.
- Be highly detail-oriented with a commitment to maintaining a high level of accuracy in all tasks.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- A genuine passion for diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives and their positive impact on workplace culture.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) is essential; familiarity with HRIS systems is a significant plus.
