Job Description

About Company:

Tucker Ellis LLP is an Equal Opportunity Employer.

Job Description:

Tucker Ellis is seeking 2L (Class of 2027) students to join their 2026 Summer Program in their Cleveland office. The summer program is approximately 10 weeks long and typically begins in May.

What You’ll Do:

The Tucker Ellis Summer Associate Mentorship Program provides summer associates with a real-life, day-to-day sense of what it’s like to practice law at Tucker Ellis. The program pairs law students with experienced attorney mentors and writing coaches, and introduces students to a wide range of litigation and transactional legal work. Summer associates receive hands-on experience that includes opportunities such as:

• Attending court hearings and deal closings
• Observing depositions, witness interviews, and client meetings
• Performing research and due diligence
• Drafting motions, deposition outlines, and contracts

The program is designed to foster strong relationships within both the firm and its communities.

Benefits of the Program (as described by former Summer Associates):

• Gaining real insight into the life of an associate while also providing time to meet and have fun with potential colleagues.
• Forming meaningful relationships with the attorneys.
• Getting a better feel for what it would really be like to work at Tucker Ellis as an attorney due to the open structure of the program.
• Understanding the expectations of a junior associate.
• Doing work (with appropriate supervision) similar to that of a first-year associate.
• Building personal relationships with many people inside and outside your intended practice area.
• Exposure to different areas of the law.
