Summer Associate

San Pasqual Fiduciary Trust Company is the only California and Nevada-based trust company dedicated to providing trustee-only services. We do not sell investment products, which enables us to provide our clients with truly impartial fiduciary service. We devote our skills, expertise, and resources to trust administration and management. We are a small but growing firm located in Downtown Los Angeles, California and Reno, Nevada.

About the Program

We are seeking candidates to participate in our 6-week Summer Associate Program. During the program, Summer Associates will assist our teams in their trust administration duties while learning the basic principles of trust administration and how we interface with industry-professionals in the legal, accounting, real estate, and investment management professions. Successful Summer Associates may receive offers to join San Pasqual as full-time employees upon graduation.

Please note that this is an in-person position, and you will be expected to report to the Reno, NV office on a regular basis for the duration of the program.

Program Logistics

  • Program Dates: June 22, 2026 through July 31, 2026
  • Work Hours: Up to 40 hours per week
  • Location: Reno, NV office (in-person)

Application and Interview Process

Applicants will be evaluated on a rolling basis, with an interview and offer period for early applicants, and then a final deadline and interview process.

  • Application Deadline for Early Consideration: March 17th, 2026
  • In-Person Interview Dates (for early applicants): March 27th or April 2nd, 2026
  • Interview Location: Reno, Nevada office

Please note that interview sessions are in person in our Reno, NV office. We are not conducting virtual interviews and will not schedule individual interviews if an invited candidate cannot attend an in-office interview. We do not pay for travel or accommodation related to the in-office interview.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Assist on annual account reviews to learn basics of trust administration.
  • Analyze Trust instrument and answer basic questions about the document.
  • Perform research and complete special projects as assigned.
  • Help with preparation of business correspondence to outside parties.
  • Assist with internal forms to learn about types of assets and their valuation methods.
  • Review statements to track cash flow within accounts.

Requirements:

  • Current Undergraduate College Student (Junior or Senior).
  • Provide Unofficial Transcript.
  • 1-2 Professional References are preferred, but not required.
