2027 Markets Summer Analyst Program – Research | JPMorganChase

The Tone:
This is a temporary Summer Analyst role at JPMorganChase, designed for ambitious individuals eager to apply their knowledge to real-world financial scenarios. JPMorganChase is one of the oldest financial institutions, offering innovative financial solutions to millions of consumers, small businesses, and prominent corporate, institutional, and government clients globally across investment banking, commercial banking, financial transaction processing, and asset management. This program supports the Markets Research team by providing crucial analysis, research, and preparatory work, enabling clients to make well-informed investment and strategic decisions and contribute to solving complex financial problems.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Financial Modeling: Model complex financial statements and industry dynamics to understand market forces.
• Valuation: Perform detailed valuation work on companies and assets, assessing their worth and potential.
• Market Assessment: Assess relevant news events and their broader implications for financial markets and client strategies.
• Data Analysis: Analyze complex data sets to identify critical trends and inform investment recommendations.
• Research Reporting: Write comprehensive research notes, sector pieces, industry, and market overviews for client consumption.
• Client Advisory: Advise internal and external clients, corporates, and management teams on market insights and strategic decisions.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Expected graduation between December 2027 – June 2028 from a Bachelor’s or Master’s program (Master’s must be within 2 years of receiving Bachelor’s degree). Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.2 on a 4.0 scale.
• Experience: Proven analytical skills with experience in quantitative (e.g., algebra, statistics, probability) and data analysis.
• Skills: Exceptional writing skills, genuine interest in financial markets and economic data and trends, excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Bonus: Limited sponsorship is offered for those enrolled in STEM degree programs that are heavily indexed in finance.
