MSFS Summer Analyst Program
This 10-week program is designed to provide aspiring finance professionals with a comprehensive and immersive experience in the world of fund administration. The program kicks off with a week of classroom training, followed by four rotations across various MSFS departments, including:
• Investor Services: This team works closely with Investor Relations, CFOs, COOs, Compliance teams, and investors to manage investor capital activity like subscriptions, redemptions, transfers, and assignments. They also handle cash movements and support the fund manager/investor relationship.
• Middle Office: This team collaborates with COOs, Directors of Operations, and Treasury Managers to handle trade processing, positions and cash reconciliations, corporate actions, collateral management, and cash flow monitoring.
• Product Development: This team works across MSFS functions to prioritize technology enhancements for their products and platforms. They identify client needs and translate them into technology requirements for new and improved products.
• Anti-Money Laundering (AML): This team helps clients identify and manage potential AML risks, working closely with General Counsel, Compliance, and Investor Relations representatives. They manage AML documentation and serve as a point of contact for fund managers and investors.
Summer Analyst Experience
Summer Analysts will be exposed to a wide variety of roles, products, and services throughout MSFS. They will work alongside experienced professionals in a fast-paced, client-facing, and market-driven environment. The program offers opportunities for Summer Analysts to:
• Broaden and strengthen their skillsets
• Collaborate on meaningful projects and initiatives
• Participate in a Senior Management Speaker Series
• Attend teach-ins and networking events
• Engage in community service activities
• Receive performance reviews and mentorship
Qualifications / Skills / Requirements:
• Current undergraduate student with a graduation date of December 2025 or Spring 2026
• Strong analytical, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
• Collaborative, quick learner, adaptable, problem solver
• Strong work ethic and ability to multi-task
• A keen interest in finance and markets
Compensation
The expected base pay rate for the role is $43.27 per hour at the commencement of employment. However, the base pay will be determined on an individualized basis and may include additional compensation elements such as:
• Commission earnings
• Incentive compensation
• Discretionary bonuses
• Short and long-term incentive packages
• Other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs
