The Tone:
This is an internship at KWC CPAs, located in Richmond, VA. KWC is recognized as one of Virginia’s Top 25 public accounting firms, dedicated to supporting clients across various industries, including nonprofits, government contracting, real estate, and healthcare. This role provides a crucial opportunity for students to gain hands-on experience in public accounting, working alongside seasoned professionals and directly supporting client engagements. The intern will benefit from structured training and mentorship, laying a strong foundation for a career in accounting.

The TL;DR
• Role: Internship
• Type: Tuesday–Thursday, 24 hours per week
• Location: In-person Glen Allen, VA
• Mission: Support client engagements and gain hands-on experience in public accounting while receiving professional development.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Training: Participate in structured training sessions combined with practical client work.
• Exposure: Gain exposure to various public accounting service lines, including tax, audit, and advisory.
• Support: Assist experienced professionals on client engagements across diverse industries.
• Guidance: Receive guidance from a dedicated mentor, a peer buddy, and a supervisor throughout the program.
• Development: Engage in regular check-ins to support continuous learning and professional growth.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Students pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Accounting.
• Experience: Ability to work Tuesday–Thursday (24 hours per week) throughout the 6-week internship from mid-June to late July 2028.
• Skills: Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
• Bonus: A 3.0 GPA is preferred.
