Job Description

Job Title: Summer 2026 Real Estate Investment Banking Internship
Location: New York, NY, In office
Compensation: $35.00 – $45.00 hourly

Program Overview:
Cantor Fitzgerald offers a 10-week Investment Banking Summer Analyst Program in Real Estate. This program provides invaluable tools and training sessions led by Wall Street professionals, focusing on essential skills such as modeling, valuation, and financial accounting. Interns will also have ample networking opportunities with colleagues across Investment Banking and other divisions within Cantor Fitzgerald.

Responsibilities & Exposure:
Summer Interns will engage in diverse projects across various Real Estate verticals and products, including:
Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) Advisory
IPO Offerings
Debt Capital Markets
Pitches and live deal work
Long-term projects supporting client-calling efforts

Interns are given significant exposure to the work of full-time junior bankers, which includes, but is not limited to:
Preparing company overviews, annotated stock price charts, and Wall Street analyst summaries.
• Learning to select and spread appropriate trading comparables and precedents, including analyzing cash, debt, and shares outstanding.
• Conducting client due diligence.
• Becoming familiar with different valuation methods, specifically Discounted Cash Flow (DCF) and Leveraged Buyout (LBO) analysis.
Preparing offering memoranda and other written materials, including reports for senior management.
• When possible, interns are invited to travel to client meetings.

Performance & Full-Time Opportunity:
Midway through the summer program, each intern receives constructive feedback on their performance and dedicated support to ensure a solid understanding of the business and development of their skills. Based on individual performance, interns may receive an offer to return to Cantor Fitzgerald in a full-time position post-graduation.

Qualifications:
Candidates for the Summer Real Estate Investment Banking Internship must meet the following criteria:
Rising senior undergraduates, preferably with a major or concentration in finance.
Previous internships in a professional services or financial services industry are highly preferred.
Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• The ability to work effectively in a team environment while also thriving in an entrepreneurial culture.
Outstanding interpersonal and presentation skills.
Self-starters who demonstrate initiative, drive, motivation, and leadership qualities.
