About the Job: Summer 2026 Internship Program – Expression of Interest

Rigetti Computing is a pioneer in full-stack quantum computing, designing, building, and operating quantum computers and their powering software. This posting serves as an Expression of Interest for our Summer 2026 Internship Program, inviting students and emerging researchers to apply now to stay connected as the program develops.

Who We’re Looking For:

Students who are passionate about quantum computing and motivated to learn in a collaborative, research-driven environment. Specific qualifications include:

  • Strong communication, curiosity, and teamwork skills.
  • Willingness to learn.
  • Demonstrated interest or coursework in quantum information science or advanced computing systems.
  • Proficiency in Python or similar programming languages.
  • Hands-on laboratory experience or experimental experience.
  • Currently pursuing a B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or a related field (qualifications may vary by project).
  • Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States for the duration of this position.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Hourly Rate: $35 – $50 an hour, generally paid according to academic experience:
    • Undergraduate: $35/hour
    • Masters: $45/hour
    • Graduate Level: $50/hour
  • Housing Stipend: Up to $2,000 for candidates who relocate for the summer.
