Areas of Placement (may include, but are not limited to):
• Global Distribution Controllership: Intern will assist Global Distribution Accounting and Reporting with monthly/quarterly close processes, financial audits, SOX compliance, customer audits, and monthly reporting to third-party distribution agents.
• International Finance: Intern will be an integral part of the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team, involved in sales and revenue forecasting, working with the sales organization to develop/review revenue budgets in over 100 territories, creating/maintaining deal analysis/financial models, and providing insights into market trends.
• Production Finance: Intern will support the NBCU Studio Group, which oversees the development, production, marketing, and distribution of Film & TV Content. The Studio Group Finance team handles financial consolidation, reporting, and analysis for the Film & TV studios.
• Film Finance: Intern will support the team responsible for the overall consolidation and financial planning & analysis of the Film Studio’s financials, including annual budget, long-range planning, monthly forecast, and close processes.
• Film & TV Cost Controllership: Intern will support the Film studios team that accounts for all indirect business costs, such as compensation, rent, insurance, and other enterprise costs like systems.
• Universal Products & Experiences FP&A: This Finance Intern will be a key contributor to the Global Consumer Products FP&A team, primarily providing support for various financial processes and ad hoc tasks, especially during forecasting cycles.
• Universal Products & Experiences Strategy & Business Development: This team supports and advises the global consumer products licensing organization and the global parks merchandise and retail team to develop key enterprise capabilities and long-term commercial opportunities. Responsibilities may include: conducting in-depth research on industry trends, competitive landscapes, emerging technologies, and consumer behavior in retail; analyzing market data to identify opportunities; assisting in the development and execution of strategic projects (e.g., market entry assessments, product line expansions, operational efficiency improvements); supporting financial modeling and quantitative analysis; and contributing to the evaluation of potential partnerships/new business opportunities through initial due diligence and summary reports.
• USG TV Production Finance: Intern will own digital records archiving for assigned series, including supporting document preparation for scanning, reconciling scan batches for accuracy, completing daily ad hoc projects (ledger inquiry research, analysis, forensic accounting, p-card management, invoice processing, check printing), and updating/distributing weekly production tracking spreadsheets.
• USG FP&A: Intern will work on Monthly Pacings/Forecasts, assisting in pulling reports from the Finance database (BPC SMART) for variance analysis (OCF & FCF), such as Content Delivery & Airing Schedule Analysis. They will also work on the 13-Week Forecast, 3rd Party Collections Reconciliation, and with the Development Finance Assist team in tracking development projects. Proactivity, adaptability, and a team-minded approach are key for this role due to regular collaboration with partners across TV Distribution, Home Ent, and Studios/Corporate finance.
• DTC (Peacock) Revenue & Digital Integrations: The Peacock’s Revenue Growth & Monetization team seeks a Digital Integrations Intern to support the development and implementation of revenue-generating sponsorship campaigns across Peacock, TV Everywhere, and social media platforms. Reporting to the Sr. Manager, Digital Integrations, this highly collaborative and cross-functional role will involve working with Ad Sales, Consumer Marketing, Platform Editorial, Product, Video Operations, and social media teams to implement campaigns, secure revenue, and maximize performance. This role is ideal for students interested in project management, advertising sales, content monetization, streaming revenue, and operations, requiring attention to detail, relationship building, collaboration, and client satisfaction.
Basic Requirements:
• Must be actively enrolled in a degree-granting program at an accredited institution for the entire duration of the program. Spring 2026 graduates are not eligible for the Summer 2026 program.
• Current class standing of sophomore or above (30 credits).
• Must be presently authorized to work for any employer in the United States and must not require work visa sponsorship from NBCUniversal now or in the future to retain authorization. (Candidates currently on student or exchange visas like F-1 CPT, F-1 OPT, J-1, M-1 are not eligible unless they can change to a status granting work authorization without NBCUniversal sponsorship).
• Must be available to work 40 hours per week from June 1 – August 7, 2026.
• Must be willing to work in Universal City, CA.
• NBCUniversal is an E-Verify company; all employees require an active Social Security number. Intern offer recipients must complete the I-9 form with an SSN within 3 days of hire.
Desired Characteristics:
• Class standing of junior or above preferred.
• Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above.
• Students pursuing a degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field preferred.
• Previous internship or work experience within finance, accounting, and/or data preferred.
• Strong interest in the media industry.
• Ability to multitask and highly organized.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
