Job Title: Summer 2026 Intern – Site Technical Services Automation
Location: Swiftwater, PA

This internship offers a hands-on learning experience within Sanofi’s Industrial Affairs, Technical Services department, specifically as a team member of the Automation group. The role is designed for students seeking to gain practical experience in a dynamic manufacturing and supply environment.

Scope of the Internship:
The position is diverse, covering several engineering disciplines and topics including, but not limited to:
Automation
Project Management
Electrical Engineering
Commissioning & Qualification
Manufacturing Equipment

Learning and Development Opportunities:
Interns will benefit from mentoring, coaching, and side-by-side engagement with knowledgeable and experienced industry experts. The program offers a unique opportunity to:
• Learn how projects are managed.
• Understand how building systems are integrated, operate, and function.
• Develop skills in reading and interpreting technical drawings, engineering specifications, and schematics.
• Conduct system walk-downs with Subject Matter Experts to ensure compliance with design.
• Observe equipment/system start-ups.
• Receive all necessary Safety and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) training.

Main Responsibilities and Assignments:
Assignments will vary based on project needs but may include:
Attendance at project meetings and participation in issue resolution.
Drawing field verification.
• Preparing and delivering presentations.
Documentation organization and control.
• Assisting with safety compliance audits.
• Gaining exposure to the migration of ASCMS from Versiondog to Octoplant.
Creating custom scripting to support the monitoring of automation assets across the manufacturing site.
• Supporting the qualification of a flu manufacturing building’s incubator controls upgrade.
• Developing software testing protocols.
• Assisting in software testing and user training.

Basic Qualifications (Required):
• Currently enrolled and pursuing a bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, computer science, or a related technical field at an accredited college or university.
• Expected completion of the current degree by Spring of 2028.
• Must be enrolled in school the semester following your internship/co-op with Sanofi.
• Ability to relocate to Swiftwater, PA, and work 40 hours/week, Monday-Friday, for the full duration of the internship.
• Must be permanently authorized to work in the U.S. and not require sponsorship of an employment visa (e.g., H-1B or green card) at the time of application or in the future. (Note: Students currently on CPT, OPT, or STEM OPT requiring future sponsorship do not meet this requirement unless eligible for an alternative long-term status that does not require company sponsorship).

Preferred Qualifications:
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), TEAMs, and SharePoint.
Strong analytical, technical, communication, and organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
• Demonstrated programming, PLC, and Electrical Competencies.
• Willingness to work independently.
High level of commitment to assignments.
• Experience with AutoCAD/Revit software is a plus.
