Job Description
This is an opportunity for a Summer 2026 Intern – HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment), based at Sanofi’s large vaccine manufacturing campus in Swiftwater, PA. The primary responsibility of this intern role is to support the HSE Environment (primarily) and Industrial Hygiene (secondarily) Programs by providing general program support.
The intern will be a vital part of the Swiftwater HSE group, actively supporting HSE operations at the manufacturing campus. This will involve working on various projects within the HSE function, with a significant focus on environmental programs and a secondary focus on industrial hygiene initiatives.
Key Responsibilities and Project Work:
• Provide general program support to the HSE Environment programs.
• Contribute to Industrial Hygiene programs as a secondary focus.
• Support day-to-day HSE operations at a large vaccine manufacturing facility.
• Engage in specific project work as assigned, encompassing both environmental and industrial hygiene aspects.
About You / Basic Qualifications for the Role:
• Currently enrolled and actively pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in relevant fields such as environmental sciences, environmental engineering, sustainability, or a related discipline.
• Must be on track to complete the current degree by Spring of 2028.
• Ability to relocate to Swiftwater, PA, and commit to working 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday, for the full duration of the summer internship.
• Must be permanently authorized to work in the U.S. and not require sponsorship for an employment visa (e.g., H-1B or green card) now or in the future. (Note: Students on CPT, OPT, or STEM OPT usually require future sponsorship and do not meet requirements unless eligible for an alternative non-sponsored long-term status).
