### Position Summary & Key Details

The Community Investment Co-Op/Intern plays a crucial role in supporting TECO’s overarching charitable giving, employee engagement, and community partnership initiatives. This position offers invaluable hands-on experience in the realm of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and provides a unique opportunity to directly contribute to programs that strengthen TECO’s presence and positive impact within the communities we proudly serve. The student will be instrumental in assisting with project coordination, meticulous data tracking, and the execution of community-focused events that align with TECO’s strategic philanthropic priorities.

### Key Responsibilities and/or Learning Objectives

As a Community Investment Co-Op/Intern, you will:

Program Coordination: Assist with the coordination of various Community Investment programs, including organizing employee volunteer activities, meticulously tracking participation, and providing robust support for charitable giving initiatives.
Research & Analysis: Conduct thorough research and data analysis to inform and support critical community partnership decisions, evaluate grant requests, and prepare comprehensive program reporting.
Communications Development: Contribute to the development of engaging internal and external communications, such as dynamic presentations, impactful summary reports, informative newsletters, and compelling stories that highlight TECO’s positive community impact.
CSR Application: Gain invaluable exposure to and apply corporate social responsibility practices, learning about effective stakeholder engagement, strategic philanthropic planning, and fostering cross-departmental collaboration.

On-Site Location:

Working Environment: Primarily in a professional office environment, with occasional requirements to attend and support Philanthropy events held at various locations throughout the greater Tampa Bay area.
Preferred Availability:
Part-Time: 20-30 hours per week.
Event Participation: May include participation in after-hours or weekend philanthropy events, offering flexibility and diverse experience.

### Qualifications

Academic Requirements: The successful applicant must be currently enrolled in an accredited university as a college undergraduate or in a graduate-level post-secondary educational program in a related discipline for the first semester of the student program.
Internship/Co-Op Status:
• To qualify as a Co-Op student, proof of enrollment in your university’s official co-op program is required.
• If ineligible for a co-op program (or if a program is unavailable), the student will be considered an Intern.
