Pay: $20/hour

Summary

First Horizon’s 10-week full-time (40 hours/week) internship program offers a comprehensive and immersive experience for undergraduate students passionate about the banking industry. Role Summary: Consumer Bank Pilot Measurement Analyst Intern

This role involves partnering closely with National Sales workstream leads and a cross-functional team to identify and operationalize key metrics for evaluating a regional pilot within the Consumer Bank. Focus areas for this role include:

  • Sales and marketing effectiveness
  • Associate training effectiveness and readiness
  • Product testing
  • Client engagement/service models

Key Deliverables for this Internship include:

  • A comprehensive measurement plan complete with baselines and thresholds.
  • Prototype dashboards or reporting templates.
  • Weekly/monthly pilot scorecards.
  • Data insights summaries.
  • A final presentation to pilot stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Metric Framework Development:
    • Review each National Sales workstream to understand its goals, processes, and available data.
    • Align gathered data with Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), leading indicators, and success thresholds for robust pilot evaluation.
  • Measurement Plan and Governance:
    • Propose effective data collection methods, sampling plans, and a clear reporting cadence (weekly/monthly).
    • Identify appropriate control groups/baselines and outline how to effectively compare pilot vs. non-pilot performance.
    • Document all assumptions, data sources, and quality checks; actively flag data gaps and propose remediation steps.
  • Reporting and Insights:
    • Build draft dashboards or reporting templates using tools like Excel, Power BI, or Tableau for clear KPI visibility.
    • Produce concise insight summaries highlighting progress, identifying risks, and recommending actionable steps.
    • Present findings to pilot stakeholders and contribute to readouts for leadership.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration:
    • Partner with associates from Consumer Banking, National Sales, Marketing, Learning & Development, Operations, and Data & Analytics to ensure alignment on measurement goals and execution.

Qualifications:

  • Full-time undergraduate student with an anticipated graduation date between December 2026 and June 2027.
  • GPA of 3.0 or above.
  • Strong interest in business and finance (no specific major or field is required).
  • Resourceful, team-oriented, and enthusiastic individual.
  • Possesses an entrepreneurial spirit.
  • Demonstrated leadership and commitment to self-development (through work experience or campus activities).
  • Ability to interface and network effectively with people at all levels of an organization.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Strategic and critical thinking skills.
  • Strong analytical skills; hands-on proficiency with Excel and comfort interpreting data.
  • Experience with Business Intelligence (BI) tools (Power BI or Tableau) preferred.
