Summer 2026 Accounting Internship – Live & Work at the Beach!
Are you ready to live at the beach for the summer? Are you a beach enthusiast looking for your next adventure? Do you enjoy helping people? We’re looking for enthusiastic individuals seeking PAID accounting experience while spending a summer at the beach!
We are now accepting applications for our Summer 2026 Accounting Internship. The expected timeframe for this immersive experience is from Mid-May to Mid-August 2026.
About the Role & What You’ll Gain:
As our Accounting Intern, you will gain significant exposure to daily accounting activities and contribute directly to our team. This includes:
- Performing or assisting with audits or answering first-level accounting questions.
- Assisting in billing, maintaining records, and keeping licensing and registrations up to date.
- Handling office deposits, managing company credit cards, and other related records.
- Learning to use the company’s business accounting software.
- Working with our fast-paced accounting team.
Key Accounting Intern Duties And Responsibilities:
- Assist with day-to-day operations of the accounting department.
- Tracking merchandise invoice due dates and discount dates to coordinate inventory processing, matching inventory invoices, and cash flow management.
- Data entry of merchandise and operations invoices in the general ledger.
- Pull supporting documentation weekly for all invoices payable, confirming amounts due and due dates with the A/P ledger.
- Maintain a spreadsheet of revenues collected on behalf of other adventure recreation companies, related commissions, and payouts.
- Processing daily sales records.
- Filing, shredding, and labeling bank deposit bags.
- Assist in receiving inventory or retail, when necessary.
- Support events such as the Kite Festival or Watermelon Festival.
- Work on other spreadsheet projects and journal entry posting under the direction of the CFO.
- Handle projects as assigned.
- Assist with other departments as needed when assigned.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Education And Experience Requirements:
- Current enrollment in a college program focusing on accounting or a related field.
- 0 – 2 years of related accounting experience, customer service experience, communications, social media, or office experience preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, with Advanced Excel skills.

Working Conditions:
- The work environment for this position is generally an indoor controlled environment.
- Noise level is moderate; expect noises like office machines and light traffic.
- May be requested to work overtime and weekends during the company’s in-season time period.
- May be requested to drive a company vehicle to other locations.
Physical Requirements:
This role involves a variety of physical demands, including:
- Time may be spent climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
- Time will be spent standing, walking, sitting, and reaching.
- Time will be spent using one’s hands to finger, handle, or feel, as well as talking or hearing.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
- Some other physical demands come from continuous computer work, cash register work, sales floor work, events work, and mail order work.
