Job Description: Summer 2025 Systems Engineering Intern
Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems is seeking a Summer 2025 Systems Engineering Intern. This internship offers the opportunity to contribute to the creation of design solutions for complex engineering problems across the full product life cycle of avionics subsystems.
Key responsibilities:
• Translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.
• Define hardware/software interfaces.
• Integrate hardware and software.
• Conduct system tests.
Required qualifications:
• Actively pursuing a B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Engineering Technology or equivalent STEM degree.
• Experience with Microsoft Office tools.
• Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance.
Desired skills:
• Knowledge of system engineering processes including design or verification.
• Experience working on cross-functional teams (Hardware, Software, Integration/Test).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Location: This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
Security Clearance: This position requires a government security clearance. You must be a US Citizen for consideration.
Clearance Level: Secret
Remote Work: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Schedule: 4×10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate:
• The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Maryland, Washington or Washington DC is $20,904 – $61,672.
• For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location.
