KEPL Team & Internship:

KEPL is a rapidly growing team within Cubist Systematic Strategies, specializing in medium-frequency statistical arbitrage strategies that boast high Sharpe ratios. The team is comprised of individuals from prestigious universities and top-tier trading and tech firms, such as D.E. Shaw, Two Sigma, Citadel, Meta, and Google. They foster an open and collaborative environment, valuing rigorous research and innovative technologies.

For the Summer of 2025, Cubist Systematic Strategies is seeking exceptional students to join their team as Quantitative Developer Interns. Ideal candidates will possess a strong passion and initiative to thrive in a start-up setting. They should demonstrate strong analytical and programming skills, and the ability to tackle challenging problems with a rigorous approach.

The internship program provides a unique KEPL experience:

• Interns will receive comprehensive and rigorous training.
• They will learn and develop analytical skills by collaborating with full-time researchers and developers on challenging real-world problems.
• After the internship, interns may be considered for full-time positions at Cubist.

Requirements for applicants:

• Undergraduate degree or higher in math, computer science, or other quantitative fields.
• Strong analytical skills, with a keen eye for detail.
• Passion for applying new technologies to trading.
• Proficiency in Python and either C++ or Java.
• Proficiency with the Linux environment.
• Knowledge of numerical computing is a plus.
• Commitment to the highest ethical standards.

Compensation:

The annual base salary is $240,000-$300,000 (USD), which will be prorated based on the internship start and end date. The actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary based on geographic location, work experience, education, and skill level.
