Job Description: Summer 2025 Internship – UPS Technology Group
Opportunity: This is a paid internship for students eager to launch their Information Technology career. The UPS Technology Group offers various summer internship positions in fields such as software engineering, application developer, data analytics, and information security.
Location: This is an in-person role based out of one of the UPS Louisville, Kentucky offices. Applicants must reside within a commutable distance or be willing to relocate for the internship duration.
Overview:
• The internship program allows students to contribute to projects within their assigned Solution Delivery Group (SDG).
• Hands-on experience provides opportunities to develop technical and soft skills.
• Collaboration with team members and mentors fosters achievement of project goals.
Technical Skills:
• Candidates should be proficient in at least three of the following technical skills:
• Programming Languages: Java, Python, C++, .NET, C#, JavaScript, SQL
• Operating Systems: Linux/Unix, Windows Server
• Platforms/Frameworks: Agile Methodology, Cloud Technology (Azure, OpenShift, Kubernetes), ASP.NET, Spring Framework, Angular
• Data Systems: Microsoft SQL Server, Power BI, Oracle Database
• Networking/Infrastructure: LAN/WAN Networking, Cisco IOS/NX-OS
• Tools & Technologies: ServiceNow, Ansible, PowerShell, Qualys, Visual Studio
• Development & Testing: Web Development, DEVOPS, Testing, Performance Testing, REST API, SOAP
• Additional Skills: Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning, Container Platforms/Cloud Development
• Note: Expertise in all listed technical skills is not required, but at least three combined from any of the categories above are necessary.

Other Requirements:
• Availability to work 40 hours per week during the summer months (June – August).
• Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from (within the last 24 months) a degreed program in Computer Science or a related field.
• Must live within a commutable distance of Louisville, KY or be willing to relocate for the internship duration.
