NBC Sports is a division of NBCUniversal that focuses on sports content, with a reach across television, digital platforms, and live events. They have partnerships with major sports leagues and organizations, including the NFL, Olympics, Premier League, PGA Tour, and NASCAR.

NBC Sports Next is a technology-driven subdivision of NBC Sports, focused on digital applications and immersive experiences in sports. They have three groups: Youth & Recreational Sports, Golf, and Betting, Gaming & Emerging Media.

Job Description: Summer 2025 Internship Program

Applications Close: December 6th at 11:59pm ET.
Program Dates: June 2 – August 8, 2025
Time Commitment: 40 hours per week (exact schedule to be determined).
Location: Stamford, CT

Areas of Placement:

Sports Strategic Marketing: Develop marketing and brand strategies supporting NBCUniversal’s sports properties.
Social Media Marketing: Plan and execute social campaigns across various sports and brands.
Consumer Engagement: Manage marketing calendars, update metrics, and assist with long-term projects for various sports.

Qualifications:

Basic Requirements:

• Actively enrolled in a degree-granting program at an accredited institution during the entire duration of the program (June 2025 through August 2025).
• May 2025 graduates are not eligible.
• Current class standing of sophomore or above (30 credits).
• Presently authorized to work for any employer in the United States (no visa sponsorship provided).
• Willing to work in Stamford, CT.

Desired Characteristics:

• Junior or senior class standing preferred.
• Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above.
• Deep knowledge and fandom of the sports world.
• Copywriting skills.
• Basic graphic design and video editing skills (Adobe Photoshop or Premiere preferred).
• Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal).
• Ability to work well in a team atmosphere.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Proactive, positive, reliable, and strong follow-through.
• Passion for sports is a plus.
• Knowledge in Golf.
• Critical/Analytical Thinking skills.

hourly Rates:

• Undergraduate interns: $17.50
• Graduate interns: $18.50
