CNBC Internship Program

Job description:

This program offers internships at CNBC, a leading business news organization. Interns will have the opportunity to work in a digital publishing newsroom, pitching and writing original stories on various topics such as:

Careers: Advice on career paths and professional development.
College acceptance: Tips for navigating the college application process.
Personal finance: Guidance on managing money and making financial decisions.
Lifestyle: Coverage of trends and issues affecting everyday life.
Entrepreneurship: Insights and stories about starting and running a business.

Program Details:

Application deadline: December 6th at 11:59pm ET.
Program Dates: June 2 – August 8, 2025
Time commitment: 40 hours per week (exact schedule to be determined).

hourly rate: $17.50

Qualifications:

Basic Requirements:
• Actively enrolled in a degree-granting program during the internship period (June 2025 – August 2025). May 2025 graduates are not eligible.
• Current class standing of sophomore or above (30 credits).
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Willing to work in New York, NY.

Desired Characteristics:
• Junior or senior class standing preferred.
• Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above.
• Strong interest in the media industry, particularly business news.
• Excellent writing skills.
• Detail-oriented (fact checking and copy editing).
