Job Description:
Lexus of Stevens Creek is seeking a motivated and energetic student for their Summer 2025 Internship Program. This full-time, paid internship runs from July 7, 2025, to August 7, 2025. The program is designed to provide real-world experience, foster critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Responsibilities:
• Shadowing and Hands-on Experience: Interns will rotate through the Service, Sales, Parts, and Finance departments.
• Adherence to Schedule: Follow the assigned schedule, including occasional weekends.
• Task Completion: Adhere to all assigned tasks in each department.
• Company Policies: Uphold all company policies and procedures.
• Guest Engagement: Interact with guests following the Penske Way Principles.
• Team Collaboration: Engage with team members as needed.
• Project Completion: Research, propose ideas and solutions for a business-focused project, and present the final project.
Schedule Overview:
• Week 1: Introduction to the dealership, customer service, service menu, contracts, sales & fixed ops overview.
• Week 2: Introduction to Finance/Administration, introduction to Parts (warehouse management, parts catalog, online orders, internal customer service, basic AR accounting).
• Week 3: Introduction to ASM role, introduction to the shop (repair procedures, warranty repairs, production management, reconditioning center).
• Week 4: Side Drive, one day in the department of their interest.
• Week 5: Work on Presentations, final presentation on Friday, August 7, 2025.
Qualifications/Skills:
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
• Enrolled as an undergraduate college student or recent high school graduate starting college.
• GPA of 3.0 or better.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Excellent organization and multitasking skills.
• Ability to coordinate with team members, read and comprehend instructions, and work well with the public.
• Available to complete all 4 weeks of the program with minimal absences.
Physical Requirements:
• Frequently bend, stretch, twist, or reach.
• Stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Talk or hear.
• Adjust, move, and lift objects up to 50 pounds.
• Move self in different positions in various environments.
• Remain stationary (standing or sitting) for prolonged periods.
• Ascend or descend stairs and ramps.
Wage:
• 1st year College/University Completed: $18.00/hour
• 2nd year College/University Completed: $19.00/hour
• 3rd year College/University Completed: $20.00/hour
