MarketWatch Bureau Intern Job Description:

Location: New York City (Hybrid, based in the office)

Dates: June 9, 2025 – August 15, 2025

Responsibilities:

• Cover hearings, speeches, and press briefings by members of Congress, Biden administration officials, and economic newsmakers.
• Write spot news and feature stories on various economic and political topics, including labor market conditions, tax policy, and the upcoming presidential election.
• Assist in research and reporting for enterprise stories originating from the Washington bureau.

Qualifications:

• Completed at least two years of a Bachelor’s degree program.
• A strong interest in and familiarity with economics, politics, and business.
• Ability to report and write quickly and accurately under deadline pressure.
• A passion for covering and writing spot news and developing follow-up story angles.
• Willingness to create in-depth feature stories.
