Summer 2025 Internship – Information Technology
This paid internship program is for students eager to launch their IT careers. UPS offers multiple summer internship positions, including software engineering, application developer, data analytics, and information security roles. The program is designed to match your background and skillset with a team within one of their seven Solution Delivery Groups (SDGs):
• EDA – Enterprise Data & Analytics
• CET – Customer and Enterprise Technology
• IHS – International, Healthcare, & Supply Chain Solutions
• OPT – Operations Technology
• OTE – Operations Technology Engineering
• SEC – Information Security
• TEC – Technical Services
Responsibilities:
• Contribute to projects within your assigned SDG.
• Develop technical and soft skills through hands-on experience.
• Collaborate with team members and mentors to achieve project goals.
Technical Skills Required:
You must be familiar with at least three of the technical skills listed below:
Programming Languages:
• Java, Python, C++, .NET, C#, JavaScript, SQL
Operating Systems:
• Linux/Unix, Windows Server
Platforms/Frameworks:
• Agile Methodology, Cloud Technology (Azure, OpenShift, Kubernetes), ASP.NET, Spring Framework, Angular
Data Systems:
• Microsoft SQL Server, Power BI, Oracle Database
Networking/Infrastructure:
• LAN/WAN Networking, Cisco IOS/NX-OS
Tools & Technologies:
• ServiceNow, Ansible, PowerShell, Qualys, Visual Studio
Development & Testing:
• Web Development, DEVOPS, Testing, Performance Testing, REST API, SOAP
Additional Skills:
• Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning, Container Platforms/Cloud Development

Other Requirements:
• Availability to work 40 hours per week during the summer months (Monday – Friday, June – August).
• Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from (within the last 24 months) a degreed program in Computer Science or a related field.
• This role is in-person and based out of one of their Louisville, Kentucky offices. You must live within a commutable distance or be willing to relocate for the duration of the internship.
