Job Description:
JPL is seeking highly motivated college and university students for Summer 2025 internships in computer science and engineering. Interns will be vital team members within JPL’s engineering groups, working alongside renowned scientists and engineers on research and space missions exploring Earth, Mars, the outer solar system, and beyond. The internship provides exposure to research, technology development, and participation in production-quality engineering.
Engineering Disciplines May Include: Aerospace, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical, Mechanical, Quality Assurance, Robotics, Software, and Systems.
Responsibilities: The internship involves contributing to ongoing projects, gaining hands-on experience, and collaborating within a team environment.
Qualifications:
• Must be currently enrolled in an accredited college or university pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in a technical or engineering major relevant to the assigned work, with a graduation date of December 2025 or later.
• Must have at least one semester or quarter remaining to complete the degree.
• Must be available to work full-time (40 hours/week) for 12 weeks during the summer.
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 out of 4.0 or equivalent.
• Relevant internship experience is a plus.
• Recent coursework demonstrating understanding and application of standard principles, theories, concepts, and techniques in the related work assignment.
• General knowledge of applicable industry and/or academic practices and standards.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Compensation: The typical hourly rate for this job in Pasadena, California, depends on education level: $21 (freshman), $25 (sophomore), $28.50 (junior), $31 (senior).
