About The Children’s Place:

The Children’s Place, founded in 1969 in Hartford, Connecticut, by David Pulver and Clinton Clark, initially sold toys, apparel, and accessories. By the early 1980s, it repositioned itself as a specialty retailer of children’s apparel for newborns to pre-teens, offering both private label and branded merchandise. In 2019, the company acquired the rights to the Gymboree brand, launching its products in select stores and online in early 2020. Later, in late 2021, they introduced the Sugar & Jade brand, focusing on tween girls’ fashion, and in late 2022, launched the PJ Place brand, a one-stop shop for pajamas for all ages, including adults. The company’s four brands cater to diverse families, offering apparel designed to build confidence and promote inclusivity.

Job Description:

The Children’s Place is seeking highly motivated 2025 graduating students for internships across various departments. The program offers hands-on experience and learning opportunities.

Internship Areas: Design, Global Merchandising, Inventory Management/Planning, Marketing, Digital Marketing, Brand Creative, Global Sourcing, Logistics, IT, Finance.

Responsibilities:

• Gain hands-on experience in the chosen department, learning systems and processes.
• Participate in formal training sessions covering Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Teams; resume building and interview skills; diversity, equity, and inclusion; and in-store experience.
• Engage with senior leadership through Q&A sessions.
• Participate in community service events.

Requirements:

• Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship (current or future).
• Must be a 2025 graduate.
• Passion for the retail industry is essential.

Qualifications:

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Teamwork abilities and the capacity to work independently.
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Highly proficient computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel), and the ability to quickly learn new technical applications and processes.
