Summer 2025 Internship at UPS Technology Group

This paid internship program is designed for students eager to launch their Information Technology careers. UPS is seeking talented and motivated college students pursuing degrees in fields like Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, Data Analytics, MIS, Mathematics, Engineering, or related disciplines.

Location: This is an in-person internship based out of either Atlanta or Alpharetta, Georgia. Applicants must live within a commutable distance or be willing to relocate for the duration of the internship.

Internship Overview:

• The UPS Technology Group is hiring for various summer internship roles, including software engineering, application development, data analytics, and information security.
• Based on your skills and experience, you will be matched with a team within one of their seven Solution Delivery Groups (SDGs):
• EDA – Enterprise Data & Analytics
• CET – Customer and Enterprise Technology
• IHS – International, Healthcare, & Supply Chain Solutions
• OPT – Operations Technology
• OTE – Operations Technology Engineering
• SEC – Information Security
• TEC – Technical Services

Responsibilities:

• Contribute to projects within your assigned SDG.
• Develop technical and soft skills through hands-on experience.
• Collaborate with team members and mentors to achieve project goals.

Technical Skills Required:

• You should be familiar with at least three technical skills from the following categories:
• Programming Languages: Java, Python, C++, .NET, C#, JavaScript, SQL
• Operating Systems: Linux/Unix, Windows Server
• Platforms/Frameworks: Agile Methodology, Cloud Technology (Azure, OpenShift, Kubernetes), ASP.NET, Spring Framework, Angular
• Data Systems: Microsoft SQL Server, Power BI, Oracle Database
• Networking/Infrastructure: LAN/WAN Networking, Cisco IOS/NX-OS
• Tools & Technologies: ServiceNow, Ansible, PowerShell, Qualys, Visual Studio
• Development & Testing: Web Development, DEVOPS, Testing, Performance Testing, REST API, SOAP
• Additional Skills: Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning, Container Platforms/Cloud Development

Other Requirements:

• Availability to work 40 hours per week during the summer months (Monday – Friday, June – August).
