Job Description: Summer 2025 Data Science and Forensics Intern (Lockheed Martin Aeronautics)
This internship involves providing sustainment program support for Lockheed Martin Aeronautics. Responsibilities include:
• Integration and Logistics: Contributing to the integration of systems and managing comprehensive logistics for the product lifecycle.
• Sustainment Plan Creation: Developing and supporting sustainment plans for the product’s entire lifespan.
• Requirements Support: Defining and managing requirements throughout the product lifecycle, considering technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
• Customer Liaison: Serving as a point of contact for logistics-related matters with customers; providing advice and training on system design and specifications.
• Design Interface: Acting as the internal design interface between support systems, concepts, and specifications.
• System Analysis: Performing comprehensive analysis of the sustainment system product, covering concept, design, fabrication, testing, installation, operation, maintenance, and disposal. This includes interface studies, timeline and requirements allocation, effectiveness, verification, cost/risk, and supportability analysis.
• Data Manipulation and Analysis: The intern will be involved in manipulating, analyzing, interpreting, validating, cleansing, and visualizing data and information.
Required Skills and Experience:
• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Systems/Industrial Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, Cyber Security, or Data/Computer Science.
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, and Excel).
Desired Skills:
• Experience reading, writing, and applying Structured Query Language (SQL) to extract, process, and manipulate data.
• Skills in data analysis, data extraction, and data mining.
• Ability to manipulate data using Microsoft Excel and/or Access.
• Understanding of basic project and systems engineering principles.
• Familiarity with collaboration tools like Skype, SharePoint, MS Teams, or Slack.
• Experience with Extended Markup Language (XML) and/or software coding (e.g., Python, Java, Visual Basic).

• US Citizenship Required: This position is located at a facility requiring special access.
