Job Description: Summer 2025 A/AI Research Engineer Intern
Lockheed Martin Space is looking for a Summer 2025 A/AI Research Engineer Intern to support internal autonomous product development and conduct research on the application of AI/ML capabilities to enhance Space mission systems. This role requires the candidate to be a US Citizen.
Responsibilities:
• Contribute to the development of autonomous products within the company.
• Conduct research on the application of AI/ML capabilities in support of Space mission systems.
• Utilize knowledge of data exploration, data modeling, and machine learning algorithm development to contribute to project goals.
Qualifications:
• Currently pursuing a degree in Mathematics, Statistics and Data Analytics, Computer Science, Physics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Proficient in Python programming language.
• Experience with AI algorithms and a solid understanding of Computer Science concepts.
• Must be a US Citizen.
Desired Skills:
• Enrolled in a Master’s or PhD program.
• Proficient in machine learning/deep learning techniques.
• Strong understanding of advanced mathematical concepts.
• Python skills ranging from intermediate to expert level.
