Job Description: Studio Safety Intern – Netflix Studios Albuquerque (Summer 2025)

This internship within Netflix’s Studio Safety Program at their Albuquerque studio (NSABQ) offers hands-on experience in environmental health and safety. The intern will assist the Studio Safety Manager and Fire & Life Safety Specialist in various tasks, including:

Implementing and maintaining safety programs: Contributing to the ongoing management of safety initiatives within the studio environment.
Conducting safety audits: Identifying potential hazards and ensuring compliance with safety regulations through inspections and audits.
Promoting a culture of safety: Contributing to a workplace where safety is prioritized and employees are aware of and adhere to safety protocols.
Participating in safety training: Assisting in the delivery of safety training sessions and workshops to studio employees.
Maintaining safety records: Helping to accurately and confidentially document safety-related information.
Collaborating with various departments: Working with internal teams (Facilities, Stage Management, Security, etc.) to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
Participating in capital projects: Contributing to the implementation of safety measures in capital projects, such as fall protection.
Assisting in the annual review of safety policies and procedures: Keeping safety protocols up-to-date and effective.

The internship requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. While prior experience is not mandatory, familiarity with safety regulations and standards is beneficial, and First Aid/CPR certification is strongly preferred. The internship is paid, lasts a minimum of 10 weeks (starting in June 2025), and is located in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The hourly rate falls within a range of $20-$40, influenced by factors such as degree and years of education.
