About the Job: Student Worker – Functional
This is a custodial role focused on cleaning and maintaining assigned areas to ensure high levels of customer and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
• Safety and Compliance: Adhere strictly to established procedures to ensure a safe working environment, including compliance with regulations from OSHA, state, local, federal authorities, and Aramark’s own guidelines.
• Environmental Maintenance: Maintain a clean and orderly environment, contributing to the safety and health perception of the space.
• Equipment Management: Properly clean and maintain all housekeeping equipment used for tasks.
• Cleaning Standards: Execute cleaning tasks in assigned areas according to the specific standards and requirements set by both Aramark and the client.
• Waste Management: Follow established procedures for the proper storage and disposal of trash, and transport it to designated collection areas.
• Maintenance Reporting: Report any maintenance concerns by submitting work order requests to the appropriate personnel.
• Security: Secure the facility by ensuring the building is locked or unlocked as required.
• Asset Protection: Ensure the security of company assets.

Qualifications:
• Experience (Preferred): Previous custodial experience is preferred, though not necessarily mandatory.
• Physical Demands:
• Lifting/Carrying/Pushing/Pulling: Frequent activity involving weights greater than 50 lbs.
• General Physicality: The role involves physical demands such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and/or extended periods of walking and standing.
• Safety Acumen: Must be able to follow basic safety procedures and precautions, particularly given the physical risks and potential exposure to hazardous chemicals.
• Attire: May require wearing uniforms and/or using Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
