Internship Overview:
Perkins Eastman offers paid summer internship positions for students. Our college interns are welcomed into a collaborative and congenial work environment, providing a unique opportunity to contribute to projects as fully integrated members of our design teams. Participants will benefit from focused learning sessions covering various aspects of successful project delivery for our clients. Beyond project work, interns will immerse themselves in the firm’s rich and diverse culture and the broader community through engaging lectures, project tours, and special events.
Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible for project work, as assigned by the team leadership, across various phases of the project lifecycle.
- Participates actively in design development with clients and the project team, utilizing diverse communication and delivery methods.
Qualifications:
- Education: Currently enrolled in Architecture, Interior Design, Graphic Design, Business, or Design Planning Programs, or have successfully completed the third year of an undergraduate program.
- Experience: No prior work experience required. Experience in business strategy and workplace planning and design is a plus.
- Skills (Soft):
- Excellent presentation, written, verbal, and communication skills.
- Possess outstanding analytical and interpersonal skills.
- Comfortable communicating complex design concepts and processes effectively.
- Skills (Technical/Software Proficiency): Proficient with a range of industry-standard software, including:
- CAD Software: AutoCAD, Revit (a plus)
- Adobe Suite Software: Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop
- Affinity Suite Software
- 3D Modeling & Visualization: Sketchup, Rhino, Grasshopper
- Other: PowerPoint, Excel, and various data management software.
