Job Description: Student Intern (Quality Assurance)
OC San is seeking a Student Intern to join their Quality Assurance Group. This is an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a laboratory environment under close supervision. The intern will be involved in a variety of tasks, contributing to the overall quality and efficiency of the lab.
Key Responsibilities May Include:
• Participating in laboratory audits: Assisting with the auditing process to ensure compliance with established standards and procedures.
• Contacting contract labs: Communicating with external laboratories regarding sample submissions, data requests, and other relevant matters.
• Handling environmental samples: Properly collecting, labeling, and transporting environmental samples according to established protocols.
• Assisting with support equipment maintenance and calibration: Helping maintain and calibrate lab equipment to ensure accurate and reliable results.
• Assisting with updating documents: Contributing to the maintenance and updates of laboratory documents, such as standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Reviewing data: Examining laboratory data for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with quality control guidelines.
• Assisting with LIMS (Laboratory Information Management System) tasks/projects: Supporting the management and maintenance of the LIMS system, which is used to track and manage laboratory data.
• Attending and providing updates in team meetings: Participating in team meetings to discuss project progress, address challenges, and share updates.
• Performing other tasks as needed: Completing other assignments as directed by the supervisor to support the overall operations of the Quality Assurance Group.
