Job Description: Student Intern (Digital Communications)

This part-time internship offers a student the opportunity to gain real-world experience in digital communications within the healthcare industry. As a Digital Communications Intern, you will be an integral part of the team, working to improve user experience across L.A. Care’s digital platforms. This includes assisting with website updates, developing an image library, contributing to SEO strategy, and assisting with content audits. The intern will be expected to function as much as possible as a regular staff member.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Implement change requests to the company websites (updates, corrections, PDF uploads).
• Develop and manage an image library for website and e-newsletter usage, including processes for uploading new images.
• Participate in project meetings and provide strategic recommendations for improving website performance.
• Assist in the development of an SEO strategy plan.
• Assist in conducting website content audits, identifying business owners of website content, and ensuring web pages are up-to-date and optimized.
• Learn to build web pages using copy and design elements that align with the company’s mission and values.
• Compile and consolidate reports and prepare presentations based on findings or outcomes.
• Conduct research and gather data for reports and presentations.
• Work closely with assigned staff and varying levels of management.
• Maintain cooperation and participation with key people involved in the project.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Must be enrolled in an accredited undergraduate or graduate degree program.
• General experience writing, meeting project deadlines, and working with basic Microsoft Office Suite applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Majors of Interest: Computer Science, Web Development, Information Technology, Communications.

Salary Range: $45,760.00 (Min.) – $45,760.00 (Mid.) – $52,024.00 (Max.)
