This is an entry-level Student Intern role at Tufts Medicine, focusing on supporting the career development of employees and performing student education duties within a clinical training environment.
Job Profile Summary:
The role primarily involves supporting employee career development by creating education, training curricula, materials, and programs to address current and future talent needs. Additionally, it contributes to student education, specifically continuing clinical training and providing patient care, with educational areas including residents, fellows, Pharmacy, Imaging, medical students, and bachelor-level interns. It is an organizational support role, either administrative/clerical or focused on supporting daily business activities in a hands-on environment. The majority of time is spent delivering support services or activities, typically under supervision. The position requires little to no prior knowledge or experience, involves routine work following standard procedures, is closely supervised, and involves communicating information that requires minimal explanation.
Job Overview:
The Student Intern will work under the supervision of a faculty member on a defined project that aligns with their educational goals. Specific tasks and learning objectives will be collaboratively defined by the student and the supervising faculty member.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Currently enrolled in a post-secondary degree program.
Duties and Responsibilities:

Physical Requirements:
• Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 25 lbs.
• Primarily a sedentary role, involving sitting most of the time.
• May involve movements such as walking, standing, reaching, ascending/descending stairs, and operating office equipment.
• Frequently required to speak, hear, communicate, and exchange information.
• Ability to see and read computer displays, fine print, normal type size print, and distinguish letters, numbers, and symbols.
Skills & Abilities:
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel computer applications is essential.
• Demonstrates excellent and meticulous organizational and technical skills.
• Possesses strong documentation skills.
• Exhibits effective interpersonal and communication skills.
• Capable of working independently, under supervision, and as part of a team.
