Job Description: Student Food Services / Catering Worker

As a Student Food Services / Catering Worker, your primary responsibilities will include food preparation and adherence to safety guidelines. The role is also designed to help you develop essential customer service and social skills. Prior experience is not a strict requirement; Aramark is looking for students who are “trailblazers” and eager to learn.

Key Responsibilities (Essential functions and responsibilities may vary by location):

• Prepares and builds food items following standardized recipes and directions.
• Properly stores food in accordance with established standards.
• Sets up various workstations, including prep tables, service counters, hot wells, and steam tables.
• Breaks down, cleans, and sanitizes workstations after use.
• Serves food to customers, focusing on ensuring guest satisfaction and anticipating customer needs.
• Replenishes food items and ensures products are stocked to appropriate levels.
• Maintains excellent customer service and a positive demeanor when interacting with guests, customers, clients, and co-workers.
• Adheres strictly to Aramark’s safety policies and procedures, including specific food safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Ensures the security of company assets.

Qualifications:

• Previous food service experience is preferred but not mandatory.
• Must possess or be willing to acquire food safety certification.
• Demonstrates good guest service skills.

Physical Demands and Other Requirements:

• This role may involve physical demands such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and/or extended periods of walking and standing.
• The role may require the wearing of uniforms and/or the usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
