Job Description
Job Title: Student Food Service Worker
Pay: Pay varies by location.
Summary:
A Student Food Service Worker with American Dining Creations is responsible for assisting the Dining Services team in delivering exceptional customer service. This role primarily involves greeting and serving menu items to guests from a station or serving line.
Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with team members to prepare and serve menu items for a food station.
• Greet and serve guests in a fast, efficient, and friendly manner.
• Strictly adhere to all health and safety guidelines.
• Assist guests with navigating the dining hall and provide information regarding menu offerings.
• May perform Cashier duties, which include operating a Point of Sale (POS) system and processing payments for food and beverage purchases.
• Support the team with labeling and packaging food for take-out menus and mobile orders.
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and stock levels of the kitchen, equipment, utensils, and general dining areas.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
• Prior experience in a Customer Service, Food Service, or Retail position is preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team and also excel independently.
• Capability to remain focused on tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Possession of basic math skills and the ability to read, write, and communicate effectively.
• Must be able to meet physical requirements: lift up to 50lbs, bend, climb stairs, and stand and walk for the entire duration of the scheduled shift.
