Student: FIELD Communications Assistant

Department: Center for Student Success (81022)

Work Location: Lexington, KY

Salary Range: $12.00-13.75/hr

Type Of Position: Student, Part-Time

Shift: Up to 10 hrs/week.

Job Summary

The Faculty Initiatives in Education, Learning and Discovery (FIELD) program is seeking a student Program Assistant to support the development, documentation, and communication of FIELD’s academic programming and teaching initiatives. This role is ideal for a student interested in writing, digital communication, educational development, or academic program support, and offers hands-on experience in documentation, instructional communication, and collaborative project work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and revise website language to ensure content is clear, current, inclusive, and accessible to multiple audiences.
  • Document class and program activities through photography and short video recordings.
    • Focus specifically on AFE 300: Growing Graduates from the Ground Up.
    • Document program activities including CoLT, Teaching Tuesdays, ESPRESSO, and KYnsHIP Conference.
  • Organize digital media assets.
  • Assist with basic editing for promotional and archival use.
