Student Exploration and Experience Development (SEED) Intern | Veolia

The Tone:
This is a 12-week internship at Veolia, a top-ranked environmental company in North America, dedicated to ecological transformation. This role helps students gain hands-on experience in cloud infrastructure, contributing to the company’s operational backbone and its commitment to sustainability. • Mission: Gain hands-on experience in cloud infrastructure and sustainability, supporting the development and maintenance of cloud environments.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Cloud Setup: Assist in configuring and setting up various AWS cloud resources including EC2, S3, VPC, and Lambda.
• Infrastructure as Code: Help implement basic infrastructure management using tools like Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
• Monitoring & Support: Support the monitoring, logging, and foundational troubleshooting of cloud environments.
• Automation & Deployment: Participate in automating routine tasks and contribute to deployment activities.
• Documentation: Work on creating and updating documentation for cloud setups and operational processes.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Early Career, working towards a four-year degree with Senior status in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related major. A High School Diploma/GED is required.
• Experience: A minimum 3.2 Cumulative G.P.A is required.
• Skills: Foundational understanding of AWS services and cloud environments; familiarity with Infrastructure as Code concepts and tools like Terraform or AWS CloudFormation; ability to support troubleshooting and automation; strong written, verbal, listening, presentation, and facilitation communication skills; demonstrated ability to build collaborative relationships.
