The Student Driver Role

The Student Driver is a paid training position designed to qualify you as a commercial driver and prepare you for a career as a Route Driver with Labatt Food Service. Key aspects of the role include:

• Hands-on Training: You will learn to drive a tractor-trailer and develop essential skills for commercial driving.
• Physical Demands: This role involves unloading 600-1,200 cases per day by hand at designated stops.
• Customer Interaction: You will interact with customers, building important professional relationships.
• Local Routes: Our routes are local, ensuring you are home with your family every night and on weekends.
• Schedule: The typical schedule is Monday – Friday, with dispatch generally between 3:00 and 5:00 am.

Our Student Driver Program has successfully graduated over 300 individuals. We are committed to providing our drivers with the safest fleet of trucks available. Our new trucks feature automatic transmissions and are equipped with the latest suite of radar and safety technology, including adaptive braking and collision mitigation, lane departure warnings, and tire pressure monitoring on all tires.

Qualifications

• Must be able to provide a valid Texas Class A Permit or Texas Class A CDL.
• Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment background check, drug test, and physical.

• Sign-on Bonus: $4,000 (Limited Time Offer – $2,000 after 6 months, additional $2,000 after 12 months).
