Howmet Aerospace’s Wichita Falls, TX facility has openings for CO-OP students. Howmet is a world leader in the investment casting industry and a leading supplier of superalloys, aluminum, and titanium components for aerospace, automotive, and commercial transportation applications. Our Wichita Falls location is at the forefront of rapid growth in the aerospace and turbine industries.

1. Operations & Engineering Co-op Student

About the Role

This CO-OP position is responsible for performing a variety of tasks in support of Operations and Engineering (Product, Process, Quality) for Howmet Aerospace manufacturing and customer support efforts.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist engineers in report preparation, process approval packages, dimensional reports, deviated material reports, etc.
• Assist manufacturing/engineering with problem resolutions, missing instructions, quality issues, etc.
• Monitor the production process with the assigned engineer to identify areas for improvements and cost reductions.
• Review non-conforming materials with the assigned engineer for cause and corrective action.

Compensation & Schedule

• This position pays $15.00 per hour.
• Ideal for Midwestern State University students.
• You cannot work more than 1000 hours a year.
• Howmet Aerospace Wichita Falls will provide a flexible, class-friendly schedule.

Candidate Profile & Requirements

• Must be classified as a Junior.
• Preferred Qualifications specific to this role:
  • Good Math skills and mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.

2. Finance Team Co-op Student

About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and energetic co-op to join our Howmet Aerospace Engines Finance team. This CO-OP position will be located at our Wichita Falls, Texas location.

Their skills are sharpened as full members of a project team, working alongside leaders in partnership with business unit and corporate clients. Interns also are exposed to a variety of assignments which encourage them to make valuable contributions to the company.

Key Activities Will Include

• Value-add assignments for the Howmet Engines business, focused primarily on financial analysis, compliance & controls, cost accounting, and financial process support.
• Assigned projects will give a realistic view into the requirements of a finance professional at a global, publicly traded manufacturing company.
• In-person and virtual learning/networking sessions with plant and segment leaders.

Compensation & Schedule

• This position pays $19.00 per hour.
• Ideal for Midwestern State University students (Wichita Falls, Texas).
• You cannot work more than 1000 hours a year.
• Howmet Aerospace Wichita Falls will provide a flexible, class-friendly schedule.

Basic Qualifications specific to this role:

• Currently enrolled in an accredited Bachelor’s degree program in Business or Finance with an expected graduation date of Winter 2026, 2027, or Spring of 2028.

Preferred Qualifications specific to this role:

• Interest in pursuing a career in Finance.
• Ability to apply concepts of financial accounting, managerial (cost) accounting.

General Basic Qualifications:

• Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
• This position entails access to export-controlled items and employment offers are conditioned upon an applicant’s ability to lawfully obtain access to such items.

General Preferred Skills:

• Good computer skills (Microsoft Office – especially Excel).
• Good judgment and ability to communicate with all areas of your assigned department.
• Positive interaction skills when providing feedback to peers.
• Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals.
